Fostering a safer community: Introducing the MYSverse Player Reporting System

Here at MYSverse, our mission has always been to create vibrant, engaging, and welcoming digital spaces for everyone. We believe that a strong community is built on a foundation of respect and safety. Today, we're taking a significant step forward in our commitment to this principle with the launch of our new, in-experience Player Reporting System.
This is more than just a new feature, it's a testament to our dedication to player safety and our proactive approach to moderation. We want to empower our players to help us maintain a positive environment, while also demonstrating to our partners that MYSverse is a platform that takes its duty of care seriously.
Addressing the unique challenges of our community
We're proud of our diverse and multi-lingual player base. However, this vibrancy comes with unique moderation challenges. Automated filters, like those used by Roblox, can sometimes miss the nuances of languages such as Malay and Chinese, allowing hate speech or toxic behaviour to slip through.
Our new Player Reporting System is our answer to this. Developed in-house, this tool is specifically designed to be more responsive to the needs of our community. Now, players can directly report instances of abuse within the text chat, ensuring that harmful content, regardless of language, can be swiftly identified and addressed by our team.
Part of a comprehensive safety strategy
This new in-experience reporting tool is a vital addition to our comprehensive, full-spectrum approach to moderation. It works in concert with our existing safety measures, which include proactive manual moderation by our team, enhanced in-game chat filtering that goes beyond standard platform tools, a shadowban system to quietly handle disruptive individuals, a regular presence of moderators within our games, and our established reporting channels via Discord.

By integrating this direct reporting feature, we are creating another powerful layer of protection, making our safety ecosystem more robust and responsive than ever.
How it works
In-game demonstration of the MYSverse Moderation Player Reporting System
If you encounter a player who is disrupting the game, causing trouble, or using abusive language, you can now easily report them.
- Open the report menu: You'll find a new report button within the experience.
- Select the player: Choose the name of the player you wish to report from a dropdown list.
- State the reason: Provide a clear and concise explanation of the offense. This context is incredibly valuable to our moderators.
- (Optional) Attach evidence: You can provide a direct link to a video or image that clearly shows the player's username and the violation.
- Submit: Hit the submit button.
Once a report is submitted, our system automatically compiles the reported player's recent chat history. This log is then sent directly to our dedicated MYSverse Moderation Team for a thorough review.

Our trained moderators will assess the context and evidence provided to determine the appropriate course of action, which may include warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans from our experiences.
Ensuring a fair system
We understand that a reporting tool can be misused. To combat this, we have implemented several safeguards. A cooldown period between reports is in place to prevent spamming.

Furthermore, our Moderation Team has the ability to identify and blacklist individuals who are found to be consistently submitting false or malicious reports. Our goal is to protect our players, and that includes protecting them from false accusations.

Now live in Lebuhraya!
We're excited to announce that the Player Reporting System is now live in our flagship experience, Lebuhraya!

We encourage our players to use this new tool responsibly. Your reports are a crucial part of our effort to keep the MYSverse a safe and enjoyable place for everyone. This is just the first step; we are committed to continually refining our safety features and expanding them across all MYSverse experiences.
Thank you for being a part of our community and for helping us build a better, safer MYSverse.
